SB - Football - Italy - Serie B
I expect Cremonese to beat Bari. The key reason is connect with Bari. Two key players left the club this summer - goalkeeper Elia Caprile and striker Walid Chedirra signed for Napoli. It is understandable as both Napoli and Bari are owned by the De Laurentiis family. Caprile has been immediately loaned to Empoli for the season, while Cheddira will play for Frosinone. But one thing is clear, Bari are much weaker now. Cheddira was fantastic last season, registering 17 goals and seven assists in 31 games. The 25-year-old played for Morocco in the 2022 World Cup campaign that saw them finish fourth in Qatar. Caprile, meanwhile, did not miss a match in Serie B last term. I will also mention Ruben Botta as he returned to Argentina. Botta was very important in the midfield, playing 27 matches and scoring two goals. But there is more - defender Di Cesare (played 37 matches last season and scored 3 goals) and midfielder Maita (37 matches and scored 1 goal) are both suspended.
Cremonese also have some issues as four players - Brambilla, Okereke, Valeri and Valzania - are injured. The good news is that Acella and Gondo have recovered and they are both in contention. Cremonese have no win against Bari since 1995, but this is an ideal opportunity for Davide Ballardini's men.
