CON - Football - Europe - UEFA - UEFA Europa Conference League
Struga Trim Lum will face Breidablik in the Play-Off match for the Conference League. The first leg will be played in Ohrid and I expect Breidablik to get positive result. The main reason for my pick is connect with Struga. Two players were key in their success - Besart Ibraimi and Marjan Radeski. The duo is most deserved for the title last season, but also for the European success. Here are their numbers in Europe this summer:
Zalgiris vs Struga 0:0
Struga vs Zalgiris 1:2 - Besart Ibraimi
Struga vs Buducnost 1:0 - Besar Ibraimi (assist Radeski)
Buducnost vs Struga 3:4 - Radeski 3 goals, Besart Ibraimi 1 goal + 1 assist
Struga vs Hesperange 3:1 - Besart Ibraimi 3 goals, Radeski 1 assist
Hesperange vs Struga 2:1 - Besart Ibraimi
As You could see, all 10 goals were scored by them - Besart Ibraimi netted 7, while Radeski 3. The duo is something like Harry Kane and Son. But now coach Shpetim Duro has a big problem - Radeski was sent of against Hesperange and must serve a suspension. His absence is a huge handicap, he is simply irreplaceable. To be worse, he suffered a head injury against Brera on Monday and could be sidelined for a longer period.
Breidablik started the European campaign early in June. They managed to eliminate Tre Penne (7:1) and Buducnost (5:0) in the preliminary round of the CHL, then Shamrock Rovers (3:1 aggregate win), but heavily lost to FC Kopenhagen (3:8 aggr). Breidablik continued their European campaign in the third qualifying round of the Europa League where lost to Zrinjski (6:3 aggr defeat).
Breidablik should take advantage from Struga issues.
