CL - Football - Europe - CL - Champions League
Liverpool finished second in Group A, behind Napoli, but ahead of Ajax and Rangers. The Reds have a poor season, however, two wins against Everton and Newcastle brought Liverpool closer to the fourth place. The biggest problem for Klopp is the injury situation, as three important players remain out injured - Ibrahima Konate, Luis Diaz and Thiago Alcantara. In addition, Darwin Nunez is rated as doubtful through a shoulder injury.
Real Madrid are 8 points adrift of Barcelona and most probably they will lose the title. But the Champions League is something special for Real as they are the most successful club in the history of the competition. The actual form is improving, they beat Osasuna 2:0 in La Liga. Aurelien Tchouameni, Toni Kroos and Ferland Mendy are out with injuries.
Liverpool have the home advantage, but I think it won't be enough. The Reds have huge problems in defense. They kept clean sheet at St James Park, but 10-men Newcastle were unlucky to score. Real Madrid should benefit from Liverpool's defensive issues.
