Manchester City are in good form, they have three victories in a row. They beat Southampton in the FA Cup, Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and Burnley in the Premier League. Kevin De Bruyne has scored on all of the mentioned three matches and his confidence is high.

The atmosphere in Liverpool squad isn't at desired level. Two key players, Salah and Mane, played against each other in the controversial World Cup qualifier between their national teams. Senegal won on penalties, but the guests players were subjected to racism and "terrorized" by home fans in Dakar. Salah was one of several visiting players targeted by green laser pointers during the penalty shootout. At full-time, Salah had to be escorted down the tunnel by security personnel as supporters threw objects from above.

The latest news about Salah's new contract are very confusing. First it was announced he has accepted Liverpool's latest contract offer. But this week David Maddock of the Daily Mirror has reported that Salah rejected Liverpool's offer that would see him earn £400, 000 per week.

All of that and a stressful contract situation has led him to a string of poor performances. Liverpool can not get a positive result in situation like that.
