The situation in Group A of Asian qualifications is clear about the first two places - they are reserved for Iran and South Korea, two best sides. The fight is open, just one-point difference is between the bottom-placed Syria and the third United Arab Emirates. Today Syria will face Lebanon and I expect the hosts to celebrate. There are three reasons for my pick. The first is connect with the mutual results. Syria have 14 victories, while Lebanon only four, plus 6 draws. The second reason is connect with Lebanon. They have two draws and one defeat after the first three rounds. But there is a problem, Lebanon haven't scored a single goal on these three games. They played 0:0 with UAE and Iraq, while lost 1:0 to South Korea. The third reason is connect with Syria. It is true they have suffered two defeats, but it is also true these defeats came from the best teams in the group - Iran and South Korea. I expect the first win for Syria.
