FC Edmonton
A disastrous season for FC Edmonton, winless in five matches, the team has one draw and four losses. The main reason for this their weak defense, that has allowed goal in every single match of the season. Together with an attack that open the first two matches scoreless, and has improved scoring in the remaining three, but their defense has not improved and continues to lose.

A loss here would officialy eliminate FC Edmonton from contention, as they would not qualify for the second round of The Island Games. Therefore, this is it, but beyond the matematical probability, what FC Edmonton is looking is to at least win a match, earn some respect and give a boost to their coach. Their coach Jeff Paulus has commented that coaching position might need chances. It is yet to see how will FC Edmonton reacts after the coach honest assessment of himself.

York9 FC
York9 FC Remains unbeaten this season, yet from five matches, one win and four draws. It is remarkable that only once have York9 FC be behind in the score, in the opener match against Atletico Ottawa. Currently on a spot that provides qualification for next round, but if they fail to win in both remaining, getting draws, and Valour FC does win one, they might not proceed to next stage, everything is yet to be decided. Therefore expect them to put a good effort here.

Doubts arise because they did not beat against a 10-men HFX Wanderers FC, York9 domintated possesion and outshot their rival but did not get the win. Their goal came from a free kick than from open play. A late equalizer from HFX Wanderers FC's Omar Kreim determine the draw and penalize York9 FC for not taking advantage. For this match Jospeh Di Chiara, who is York9's scoring leader with three goals, is suspended.

Match
A physical match is expected here, if FC Edmonton fails to win here, they would not play for anything in the last match. Meanwhile for York9 FC is an opportunity to climb on the standing looking to secure their place in next round. From three matches played with FC Edmonton as the home side, one win for FC Edmonton, one draw, one win for York9 FC, precisely the last one. In two of those three matches there have been goals from both teams.

Prediction
The match will be held at UPEI Artificial Turf Field in Charlottetown as it is the venue that is hosting The Island Games. The most probable thing is that there is going to be goals here, at least one from each team, FC Edmonton should push as there is no tomorrow for them, and more when their defense has been so bad, meanwhile for York9 FC, they can use that in their favour and take advantage of the open spaces to get on the score.
