After their 0-1 defeat against New Mexico United, first match of the season in which they did not score, a sort of improvement for them. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC have avoided defeat in the last two games, both games at home. It has been the scoreless draw against El Paso Locomotive and the high scoring draw against Austin Bold, in which each team scored four goals, in the first time Austin Bold scored and the second half was for Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC comeback to tie the match.

Despite the improvement Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC have now seven matches without a victory. Now they welcome back New Mexico United, barely 14 days after the home defeat against them and with two lost games against them, they will do good to avoid defeat here.

Yet it should go to the defense that has three clean sheets in the last five matches and only twice have they allowed more than one goal against them.

The four games here at Weidner Field have been victories for New Mexico, in the Open Cup it was until extra times. Even more in the five games between them, New Mexico has always gotten the win.

Prediction
Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will try to avoid a trio of defeats against New Mexico United. Yet their irregularity provides few arguments for this. But it will not be an easy match for New Mexico, despite the 13 points difference, but it is true that as the match proceeds the pressure to get a victory will work against the host and that provides the best scenario for New Mexico United that is playing in a great form at away, based in a strong defense and a solid attack.
