D1 - Football - Netherlands - Eredivisie
After losing vs Twente on previous home game by 0-2, hosts have no other choice less than focus on overcoming the score from that defeat. The best scoring squad failed to score for 3rd time in the league. Despite last game lost outcome, Jong PSV are on into great shape overall. Hosts have run by 7 straight undefeated matches, losing only 2 out of last 13 at domestic league. Demonstrating the power of the squad, mostly based by outstanding scoring performances, Jong PSV are one of the most dangerious opponents of the league. Forward Catic is doubtfull while 2nd best team scorer Gakpo and midfielder Ihattaren are called for PSV first team. Mauro Junior, Piroe and Aboukhlal will take the attacking 3rd up-front.
Roda overcome both defeats by 1-2 vs Almere City and 5-1 vs Jong Ajax with last home game win vs Cambuur 1-0 into very poor game overall and one fast goal at 4th minute by Milts was enough for a win. Not even Cambuur has been able to bring problems for expecting more. That was 1st underish outcome which stoped the run by 5 straight overs, 4 out of 5 completed with 4+ and more goals. Visitors are playing one of the most offensive minded football overall with a lot of tactics transformations, helped by top scoring performances by german midfielder Engels, the team leader with 20 scored goals so far, 2nd best goal scorer of the league. Goalie Muyters remains doubtfull, defender Vansteenkiste is out of squad due injury.
Both sides are separated by only 2 pts difference in favor of Jong PSV. Both sides are into need for a point, the competitive mood present at the match-up should be the base of expecting competitive encounter with no clean sheets between and very possible high-scoring outcome, IMO.
Jong PSV are strong playing as hosts, Roda quiet average on road. But the 1st H2H defeat by 2-3 at home can be the motivational challenge for visitors to effort better. The power of the opponent is based into attacking minded football, hopefully covered by several scored goals on both sides.
Good luck!
Pick: Over 3. 5 goals
