Pick based on Kukushkin results recently. This guys have overall bad season in negative way but starting from the challenger in Aptos at the begging of August, Mikhail raised up his form. The major gold here is quiet simple, keep own serve easier as possible and wait on Isner’s bad serve-game. Good player from the baseline without many UE, overall good server with nice hard-court game. Having this skills, I do expect to push bigger effort today, just one tournament before starting US Open where surprices are expected after all. Isner should bring powerfull and short servis games helping to finish the job fast. But, getting on mind that he is one of the top seeds at GS draw, I do not see him giving a 100% of his performance.
IMO, good match-up for a tough clash, hopefully to be disaded in a long way in 3 setters.
