Omonoia vs. Alki

Omonoia is hosting Alki in GSP stadium for the season opener of Cyprus Division 1.

There is huge disappointment in Omonoia after failing to advance in Europa League. For the second consecutive year they lost to Salzburg. I am sure today it will not be full house in GSP but despite that Omonoia is called to put Europe behind and get fully focused for the local Championship. The greens do have a good group of players to claim the title imo.

Alki is same as last year. Not many changes in the squad. Their goal remains the same and it is nothing else except staying in the big league. I predict that new Coach Costas Kaiafas (ex Omonoia player) will have a difficult season ahead. Not only because he is totally inexperienced but also because he has a weak roster to win games.

For today’s game, I think Omonoia will have complete control of the game. They will push Alki from the first minute and I expect Omonoia to capitalize the game and get a comfortable win. I would like to focus my bet on the easy win. I will choose to bet on Omonoia win with AH (-2) @ 2. 15 from Bet365.
