D1 - Football - Germany - Bundesliga

After Dortmund´s twelve match unbeaten run came to an end last weekend, the black and yellow will be keen to get all three points against Frankfurt on Sunday.
Dortmund suffered a 1-4 defeat against red hot Stuttgart last Sunday and lost some ground in the race for third spot. Beaten only for the fourth time this season, Dortmund are actually six points behind arch rivals Schalke but have the chance to close the gap to just three. And the team of coach Klopp should have some good chances as they have won five of their last six in front of their passionate fans and have not conceded a single goal. Bad news for the coach is however the injury of Blaszczykowski while Weidenfeller, Kehl, Tinga and Feulner are stikll sidelined. Hajnal meanwhile is back to full fitness and Zidan and Bender are also back available.
Frankfurt also suffered a defeat last weekend when they were beaten at home by Cologne 2-1. After six games without defeat, Skibbe´s men wasted too many chances but in all Frankfurt have done quite well so far. With 28 points and a positive record Skibbe´s men should have nothing to do with the relegation battle as the enjoy a eleven point lead ahead of the relegation place. On the road Frankfurt have an even record of 3-3-3 and their defeats came against the top 3 sides, Leverkusen, Bayern and Schalke. But Frankfurt are still hit by injuries. Petkovic, Vasoski, Bajramovic, Fenin, Amanatidis, Schwegler and new signing Clark are all sidelined.
Against no other team, Dortmund have won more games at home than against Frankfurt but the visitors are a well organized side this season and the hosts should not underestimate their rivals. However Dortmund are in quite good form despite their setback last weekend and they simply have to win this game to close the gap to third placed Schalke. It likely become a close match as Dortmund only scored more than one gaol at home three times but can count on their excellent defensive.
