Hull KR -12. 5
This is a nice fixture for Rovers to kick off the new season and they can win this by more than 12 points.
Last year didnt quite end the way it started for Morgan but there can be little doubt about the fact hes done a terrific job there. Injuries hit them hard at the most important part of the season and although there has not been much in the way of new signings there is more than enough in that squad to challenge again.
Im sure Rovers will finish top 8 and make the play offs.
Salford finished pretty much where we all expected them to- just above the bottom spot. For a 1st season in super league the Reds done ok at times and certainly pulled off the odd shock- beating Leeds for example. But we also seen them take some right hammerings on the road which were not great for super league.
Looking at that squad the Reds still look weak in the forwards to me and they will ofcourse miss their star man- Myler- who has moved to Warrington.
Rovers gave Salford a really doing when the sides met early on last season and im expecting the same here. When they get on a roll they do have a very powerful set of forwards and possibly the best play maker in the game- Dobson.
It will be tight in the opening exchanges but im backing the Rovers to control this match and get off to a flyer.
Rovers -12. 5 to beat Salford with vc at evens.
