My pick - Groth to win:

Groth took a first set, and lost his service game once in second set and than rain delay. I see a big value in Groth's win.

At first he didn't lose second set, Mello leads only a one break, so Australian can rebreak and than all chances to win in two. Anyway if the Mello takes second there's will be a third set.

Groth is better player on grass surface, this year 7-2. Here he won qualification against: C. Eaton, J. Goodall, S. Stadler.

Mello performs quite poor on grass, only 1-2 matches per year on this surface, also he lost Wimbledon's qualification's at first round, to claycourter D. Munoz-De La Nava. In Newport he o won a qualification matches against: C. Schultz, R. de Voest and R. Ram, Ram retired so Brazilian was lucky there.

Groth is better on grass and I can't see Mello winning two sets in a row against him.
